Happy Friday, sweethearts!
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to visit the ultra chic Dior pop-up cafe, located atop the third floor of the Dior boutique in the Miami Design District.
The Dior Cafe Miami is a Toule de Jouy jungle wonderland, an exquisite mix between the tropical Miami environment and the Dior ultra elegant brand legacy.
Even though it was a particularly warm morning, (the rooftop setting does not help with this), I couldn’t help but order the very iconic Dior Almond Latte.
Was I a fan? well… let’s just say it was very cute. Tee hee! Who am I to judge it though? I’m mostly a tea girl. I’ll pick the unpretentious 7-eleven French Vanilla capuchino over the Dior Latte any day. If coffee tastes anything like coffee I’m not here for it. Some coffee aficionados have bashed it though.
Behind the Toile de Jouy theme
As stated by the DiorMag: “A key motif of this cruise collection and a great French classic from the 18th century, toile de Jouy has been given a modern makeover with the addition of a series of wild animals. Among these, tigers, bears and giraffes were hand drawn like engravings in pen and ink to populate these typically pastoral scenes. In traditional dyes (blue, red and green) and lifted with touches of unprecedented color such as camel or black, the revisited fabric makes its way onto trench coats, skirts, jeans and some of the House’s bags.”
Maria Grazia Chiuri (Dior’s creative director) is obsessed with it and so am I!
Let me know if you have visited, or plan to visit, the Miami Dior Cafe!
Wishing you an awesome weekend,
xo
